Days after two teenagers were shot to death in Southwest Baltimore, police have identified the victims as the community seeks answers.

The teens were identified Monday as Wesley Harris, 19, and Donte Gregory, 18. They were killed in a shooting near the intersection of Ellicott Drive and Oakhurst Place in the Winchester neighborhood Friday evening. Two men, ages 21 and 22, were also injured.

The Baltimore Police Department’s investigation is ongoing.

The release of the victims’ identities comes after The Youth Peace & Justice Foundation, a Texas-based organization founded after the 2022 Uvalde school shooting, offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information that directly helps law enforcement identify and apprehend those responsible.

Over the weekend, the foundation connected affected families with crisis support and additional fundraising assistance.

“We are offering this reward because families deserve answers, and information from the community may help investigators identify those responsible,” said Daniel “Bodhi” Chapin, founder and president of the organization. “The families who are grieving and the young men recovering from their injuries should know that they do not have to navigate the aftermath alone.”

Several shootings have killed or injured young people in Baltimore in recent weeks. Last week, a shooting at Leon Day Park claimed the life of 12-year-old Khloe Ishway and left four adults injured, prompting hundreds to walk for peace in Khloe’s memory and demand justice.

In September, a shooter opened fire at the busy intersection of East Fayette and North Caroline streets, injuring a 3-year-old boy and six others.
