Police are investigating a possible hit-and-run collision in South Baltimore.

Officers with the Baltimore Police Department responded at around 4:41 p.m. Thursday to a person lying in the roadway in the 3500 block of Potee Street, near the crossing of Route 2 and Interstate 895.

Police located an unresponsive male whose injuries were consistent with a vehicle collision.

Medics transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
