The Prince George’s County Police Department has arrested and charged a Capitol Heights man in connection with a $500,000 robbery of an armored truck in 2025.

Jerronta Bryant, 31, was allegedly part of a group that robbed the armored truck on Nov. 3 in the 8800 block of Woodyard Road in Clinton, police said in a statement Friday.

Bryant, who was arrested Wednesday, is charged with armed robbery and other offenses.

“Detectives are actively working to arrest additional suspects,” police said.

During the robbery, the driver of the armored truck sustained minor injuries. An investigation determined that multiple suspects approached the victim as he prepared to deliver cash to a bank.

The suspects fled after taking more than $500,000 in cash.

The police’s Fugitive Unit, part of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, found and arrested Bryant in Washington, D.C., where he remained jailed pending extradition to Prince George’s County. A gun was recovered during Bryant’s arrest.

It was not immediately clear on Friday afternoon if Bryant had retained an attorney.
