A man died on Thursday after officers found him with gunshot wounds in his home in Darnestown, Montgomery County Police said.

The identity of the deceased man was not immediately released. The department’s homicide unit is investigating.

“At this time, there is no suspect information available, and no one is in custody,” police said.

Shortly before 6 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 12000 block of Carrington Hill Drive and found the wounded man. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

More information about the incident is expected to be released later.
