Montgomery County Police on Tuesday identified an 80-year-old pedestrian who died more than a week after he was struck by an SUV earlier this month in Silver Spring.
Roland Singleton, of Silver Spring, died on Saturday, 10 days after a Jeep Cherokee hit him on Feb. 11.
The crash occurred about 9:45 p.m. near East-West Highway and Washington Avenue, police said.
A preliminary investigation determined that Singleton was crossing the highway when he was struck by the eastbound Jeep.
The investigation by the department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is ongoing.
