Montgomery County Police identified a Silver Spring man who died last week after a car struck him in White Oak.

The crash occurred about 9:39 p.m. on Tuesday. Minh Q. Vu, 45, died at a hospital on Wednesday morning, police said.

An investigation determined that a driver of a Lexus ES was traveling northbound on the ramp from Columbia Pike toward New Hampshire Avenue when it struck Vu’s bicycle, police said.

The driver of the Lexus initially left the scene but returned a short time later.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
