The Annapolis Police Department arrested a suspect connected with a July 2025 killing, officials said Friday.
Khyree Lattimore, 20, of Baltimore, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder and other related charges, according to online court records.
Police allege Lattimore killed Raishaun Mason in the early hours of July 6, 2025, on Bens Drive in Annapolis. Lattimore does not have an attorney listed in online court records and is being held without bond.
Mason, who was 23, died in the hospital more than a week after he was shot.
Police said a group of four males seen on security footage can be seen shooting at Mason and a group of three others, including one teenager.
So far, only Mason has been arrested and charged. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
Police charging documents said investigators found a note in Lattimore’s phone in which he described the attack as “revenge for a shooting wherein his grandmother’s house was shot.”
In a note on his phone dated July 7, Lattimore wrote that the killing was “meant for someone else he couldn’t get to,” so he targeted someone close to that person, a detective for the Annapolis Police Department wrote.
Investigators used a combination of closed-circuit TV footage, GPS data and posts from social media to identify Lattimore as a suspect, detectives wrote.
Mayor Jared Littmann said Lattimore’s arrest was an important step toward justice for Mason and his loved ones.
“Our hearts ache for the family and those in the community impacted by this loss. Annapolis residents deserve safe neighborhoods and accountability when violence occurs,” Littmann said in a statement. “We will continue to work every day toward a safer and stronger Annapolis.”
