Rockville lawyer pleads guilty to schemes totaling more than $4.2 million in losses
Sari Kurland, a former Rockville bankruptcy lawyer, pleaded guilty Friday to orchestrating three schemes that victimized 21 people between May 2022 and September 2024, and totaled more than $4.2 million, authorities said.
In her largest scheme, former bankruptcy lawyer Sari Kurland received loans from 18 people who believed she was brokering a Middle Eastern petroleum deal, prosecutors said.
