Chris Korman oversees The Baltimore Banner’s sports coverage. He has covered the NFL, college athletics, horse racing, sports business and baseball as a reporter, columnist, podcaster and editor. He has written and edited long-form stories on a wide range of topics, including a football player dealing with traumatic brain injury, the struggle of minor league baseball players to keep playing despite below-minimum wage pay, the greatest American lumberjack, the culture of gun competitions and a gay rugby club inspired by one of the men who died on 9/11.
Chris previously worked at USA Today’s For The Win and The Baltimore Sun and is a graduate of Penn State and the graduate school of journalism at Columbia University. A Pennsylvania native, he nevertheless learned to pick crabs as a kid (his dad was from Baltimore). He now lives in Cockeysville with his wife and three children.
