    Making history: Yvette Davids becomes first woman and Latina to lead Naval Academy
    Vice Adm. Yvette Davids on Thursday became the first female superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy. Her promotion and others had been held up until recently by an Alabama senator concerned about a Pentagon abortion policy.

    Fire at Annapolis Light House shelter displaces 70 residents
    The city of Annapolis opened an emergency shelter at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center in response to a Jan. 9, 2024 fire that displaced more than 70 residents from the Annapolis Light House shelter. Residents were later relocated to local hotel rooms.

    Flood and wind warnings continue Wednesday as Marylanders survey storm damage
    Baltimore area residents and emergency responders are surveying the damage caused by substantial rainfall that soaked the region Tuesday.

He, his mother Margaret Neal, and his older sister Brittany Neal, have been summoned to testify at the Anne Arundel County Courthouse on Church Circle. Connor has been charged as a juvenile so the charging documents, details of the investigation, and the court proceedings are confidential.
    Maurtice Brown was 17 when he was shot in the face by another boy, a friend, in the basement of his home. He doesn’t remember the shooting and to this day, his family does not know exactly how or why the shooting took place. His recovery has been slow and agonizing.
