    Darrell David Rice, a computer programmer from Columbia who was arrested in 2001, was charged with capital murder, and authorities alleged that he selected the victims because of his hatred of women and gay people.
    This week, FBI officials told the families of the two women who they believe committed the killings, the special agent in charge said.

    Police identify woman who died after stray dog attack in West Baltimore
    Authorities said Shelia Jones, 54, died following a stray dog attack in West Baltimore on Friday. Police said three people were attacked by two pit bull terriers.
    Two stray pit bull terriers were roaming North Pulaski Street in West Baltimore around 9 p.m. on June 14, 2024 when they attacked three people. A 54-year-old woman died at the scene, according to police.

    At age 50, National History Day keeps pushing students to seek difficult truths through research
    This year’s theme, “Turning Points in History,” asked students to explore ideas or events that sparked change. More than 2,800 finalists reached the national competition after months spent visiting libraries and poring over primary sources.     Person dies after being attacked by group of stray dogs in West Baltimore
    Officers responded to the 2000 block of North Pulaski Street for a dog bite. When they arrived, they learned that the stray dogs had attacked a woman, who died as a result of her injuries.
