    Police identify woman who died after stray dog attack in West Baltimore
    Authorities said Shelia Jones, 54, died following a stray dog attack in West Baltimore on Friday. Police said three people were attacked by two pit bull terriers.
    Two stray pit bull terriers were roaming North Pulaski Street in West Baltimore around 9 p.m. on June 14, 2024 when they attacked three people. A 54-year-old woman died at the scene, according to police.
    Maryland high court to hear appeal from ex-Baltimore Police officer who failed to prevent assault
    The Maryland Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear an appeal of a reckless endangerment conviction by a former Baltimore Police officer. A judge found Christopher Nguyen had failed to prevent a suspect in an assault from attacking a man lying on the ground.
    The Robert C. Murphy Courts of Appeal Building in Annapolis hosts the Court of Special Appeals and the Court of Appeals. A state constitutional amendment on the ballot in 2022 would rename the courts to the Appeals Court of Maryland and the Supreme Court of Maryland.

    The decision clears the way for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office to bring the suspect back to Maryland to be tried for Rachel Morin’s rape and killing.
