    The effect of the ruling was stayed for 60 days, allowing Syed time to mount an appeal to the state’s highest court.

    Roy McGrath manhunt: Feds double reward to $20,000 for fugitive Maryland official
    A new wanted poster lists McGrath at 5 foot 5 and 140 pounds, with one possible alias of “Roy Baisliadou.” The poster notes he’s a U.S. citizen born in Greece and considered an escape risk by the FBI. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
    The U.S. Marshals Service and the FBI are teaming up to offer a $20,000 reward for information in the search for Roy McGrath, an ex-top aide to former Gov. Larry Hogan, who didn't show for his federal criminal trial and is considered a fugitive.

    A Baltimore City District Court judge has ordered 24-year-old Markis Russell to remain in jail in connection to the killing of his roommate, Jeffrey Brooks Jr.

    Authorities say Daniel Moss fled police several times in recent years. This time, his wife died.
    The incident has also called attention to the potentially deadly consequences of police chases. The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, which reviews police-involved deaths, announced that it was investigating the case.

    James Weems Jr., 57, of Randallstown, is charged with sexual abuse of a minor, rape, assault and related offenses. His first trial is set to begin on May 22.

    Trial to begin for former Gunpowder Falls park manager accused of raping 2 employees
    Michael J. Browning, the longtime manager of Gunpowder Falls State Park, is slated to go to trial Tuesday on charges he raped two young women when they were employees of the park. Browning maintains his innocence.
