    2 million dimes were stolen from a US Mint truckload. Some were exchanged in Baltimore County.
    Federal prosecutors wrote in charging documents the men exchanged thousands of dollars worth of the dimes at Coinstar machines in Cockeysville and Towson.

Federal authorities, in an indictment unsealed on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, released more information and detailed charges in the theft of more than 2 million dimes earlier this year from a tractor-trailer that had picked up the coins from the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia.

    Maryland judge presided over divorce case of man identified as suspect in his killing

    Linda Malat Tiburzi, a survivor of the notorious child rapist John Merzbacher while a student at the Catholic Community School of Baltimore in the 1970s, died at age 62.
