    Manchester Valley's Emma Penczek (2) and Reese Kresslein combined for 22 points to lead the No. 14 Mavericks past No. 15 Harford Tech, 32-23, in Monday night's basketball season opener. Penczek also had four steals as the Mavericks forced many of Harford Tech's 26 turnovers. Kresslein had eight rebounds.
