One person died in a three-car crash Monday night in Damascus, according to Montgomery County Police.

First responders found a driver who had been ejected from a Toyota Camry lying on Ridge Road north of Sweepstakes Road at about 10:30 p.m. They pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

First responders also extricated a driver from a Lexus NX 350. They transported her to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of a Ford Fusion involved in the collision was not injured.

Several witnesses reported that the Camry driver was traveling northbound on Ridge Road at a high speed before the crash.

The Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating. More information will be released as it becomes available, including the name of the deceased following proper notification of next of kin.
