Several Eastern Shore counties announced school closures or delays for Tuesday following a weekend snowstorm that had widely ranging impacts across Maryland.
A nor’easter swept through Maryland late Sunday and early Monday, dropping just 1 to 4 inches in the Baltimore region but as much as 18 inches on the shore, where it caused power outages and disrupted services for many.
The entire town of Berlin lost power, and the sand of Ocean City was covered with snow.
Most school districts on the Eastern Shore opted to close or delay their start time Tuesday as they continued to deal with the remnants of the snow, high winds and power outages. Those in the Baltimore region planned to resume normal operations.
Here’s a list of school districts closing or delaying the day Tuesday.
