It’s the first day of classes for students in several Maryland school districts, including Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County and Howard County.

Montgomery County students who are moving up a level — kindergarteners, sixth graders and ninth graders — have their first day, too, along with a handful of Baltimore-area colleges.
