Montgomery County Police said three men were found unresponsive in apparent drug overdoses Monday night at the Wheaton Metro station, one of whom later died.

The identity of the man who died was not immediately released. Officers responded to the station about 8:15 p.m., and the three men were alive when they were taken to a hospital, police said in a post on X.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer said in a social media post that the men likely went into cardiac arrest and that they were found in several locations within the station.
