A North Carolina man has been arrested and faces criminal charges after allegedly urinating on members of a family at Morgan Wallen’s Baltimore show last month, Maryland authorities announced Wednesday.

Jayson Reed, 33, was arrested by deputies in Wilson County, North Carolina, following an investigation by the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, the agency said in a news release Wednesday night.

Reed faces four counts of second-degree assault, public urination and other offenses stemming from the July 18 incident, according to the news release. He was being held in North Carolina pending extradition to Maryland.

Police allege that Reed urinated on members of a family, including an 8-year-old girl, at the second night of Wallen’s “Still the Problem” tour at M&T Bank Stadium. His charges were not available in online court records.

Troy Grevelding, the girl’s uncle, said he and his wife traveled to Baltimore from upstate New York to join relatives from North Carolina to catch the show. The group included two nieces, ages 8 and 11.

He told The Banner his wife suddenly felt a liquid running down her leg. When he turned around, he said, he saw a man with his pants down “relieving himself on myself, my wife and on my niece,”

Grevelding said he cussed and shouted at Reed before ushering him out of Section 140, where they were seated, and brought him to police.

When police officers said they couldn’t arrest the man, Grevelding posted video on social media that went viral expressing frustration with the lack of police response. Days later, MDTA announced it was aware of the incident and had launched an investigation.

“Nobody said a word to me until this got public,” Grevelding told The Banner last month.

In the news release, MDTA Police said officers provided the suspect’s identification and a report number to the victims. They said they escorted Reed out of the stadium once he was identified.

“Following the incident, detectives conducted a thorough investigation and identified witnesses who were not present during the initial on-scene investigation,” the news release continued.

Reed’s arrest was both exciting and disappointing for Grevelding, he said. He’s happy that the guy he said upended his life is jailed, but added that it should’ve happened weeks ago.

“You had an arrestable offense, and you still did nothing,” Grevelding said. “This guy was running around free for three weeks.”

Grevelding was also upset that none of the charges against Reed have anything to do with assaulting a minor. He said his niece won’t listen to Wallen’s music anymore.

Grevelding is originally from upstate New York and said he was visiting Baltimore for the first time to see Wallen perform. He previously told The Banner he didn’t get to watch the show since he was dealing with the aftermath of the incident.
