Baltimore County Police are investigating reports of human remains found near a highway in Middle River.

Officers with the Parkville precinct were dispatched to state Route 702 and Interstate 695, where the “badly decomposed” remains were reported around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, according to the police department.

The remains were in a creek bed of Back River, police said.

Homicide detectives are also responding.
