Montgomery County Police are looking for a driver who fled from a fatal hit-and-run in Gaithersburg early Wednesday.
The incident happened about 4:47 a.m. near the intersection of Muddy Branch Road and West Diamond Avenue, police said in social media posts.
The vehicle involved was possibly a dark gray, older-model Honda CR-V. The SUV, with red accents and front-end damage to its left side, was last seen on Muddy Branch Road headed toward West Diamond Avenue, police said.
The identity of the pedestrian who died was not immediately released Wednesday morning.
