A Silver Spring woman’s body was recovered from Lost Lake at Patapsco Valley State Park Monday, officials said.
The Maryland Natural Resources Police and Baltimore County Fire Department responded to the Glen Artney area of the Halethorpe park around 3:30 p.m. Monday following reports of a body the lake, according to a news release from the state agency.
Police identified the body as Phuong Lihn Dang, 39, of Silver Spring. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy, state officials said.
The Glen Artney area has since reopened to visitors. Police ask anyone who might have seen Dang, an Asian woman who was wearing a blue sweater and denim shorts at the park on Monday, to contact them.
“Responding officers observed no visible signs of trauma. Foul play has not yet been ruled out, however investigators are seeking autopsy and toxicology results, which will help them better understand the circumstances of the woman’s death,” Hunter Dortenzo, a spokesperson for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, said in an email.
Police are asking anyone with relevant information to contact them at 410–260-8888.
