Baltimore Police say three men were shot outside a strip shopping center in the city’s northeast section Friday.

At around 4:41 p.m., police said in a news release, officers responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of East Cold Spring Lane, which includes the Cold Spring Shopping Center

They found three men — two 24-year-olds and one 25-year-old — suffering from gunshot wounds. All were transported to a local hospital and were in stable condition Friday evening, police said.

A Banner photographer counted more than 30 large-caliber shell casings on the pavement outside the collection of restaurants and other businesses.

The shopping center consists of about seven or eight businesses, with a closed Family Dollar at one end and a library branch next door. It’s a couple blocks away from Morgan State University’s campus.

Police were keeping people inside a barbershop in the commercial strip as they investigated. Detectives and officers paced the parking lot, going in and out of the businesses.

The entire block was taped off, preventing vehicles from entering East Cold Spring Lane between Loch Raven Boulevard and Kelway Road.

Police asked anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-396-2444. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCK-UP or leave information on its website.
