Montgomery County Police have charged a teenager as an adult in connection with a 2025 shooting in which several Germantown townhomes were struck with gunfire, including a bedroom where a child was sleeping.

An arrest warrant was issued for the Germantown teen on Thursday, accusing him in a predawn shooting on Nov. 27, police said on Wednesday. No one was injured in the shootings in the 20500 block of Staffordshire Drive, although bullets penetrated multiple bedrooms.

Police identified the minor and charged him with attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, and other gun offenses.

The Banner does not name minors charged with crimes.

The defendant is in jail at the Central Processing Unit, police said. It was not clear on Wednesday afternoon whether the teen had retained an attorney.

A gun was found on him when he was initially arrested on Dec. 17 on unrelated outstanding warrants, and he was charged with firearm offenses linked to the recovery of the weapon, police said.
