A man is dead and a woman is injured after a shooting in a residential neighborhood in Pikesville on Tuesday night, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting around 11:35 p.m. in the 9000 block of Iron Horse Lane, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

A 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital, police said.

County police detectives are investigating.
