A Pasadena woman stole nearly a quarter million dollars from the youth sports club for which she served as treasurer and used that money for personal expenses, including Disney tickets, according to court charging documents.

Kelley Ann Haley, 45, is charged with theft, theft scheme and two counts of embezzlement and misappropriation of funds, according to online court records. She was charged April 28 after a yearlong investigation, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Haley was the treasurer of the Pasadena Buccaneers Athletic Club, a youth sports club run by volunteers that offers programming including football, basketball, cheerleading, lacrosse and wrestling.

She used club debit cards and access to the club’s bank account to embezzle $242,637 from at least January 2019 through March 2025, according to charging documents.

Police began investigating in March 2025 after the club president, who was reviewing the club’s account books, “noticed the books were not correct” and thought they had been “deliberately manipulated” to hide debts and alter expenses, police wrote.

Haley hosted a meeting at her home with former club leaders and friends in April 2025 and confessed to stealing about $30,000. She “admitted to using the club’s debit card for personal accounts and accepted responsibility for the missing funds,” police wrote.

Investigators said they found personal purchases using club funds totaling more than $155,100, and ATM withdrawals totaling more than $87,530. Police found $21,190 from those ATM transactions was deposited into Haley’s personal account.

The alleged fraudulent transactions included payments for utility and phone bills, as well as purchases of a washing machine, vehicle tires, Disney tickets and items from Amazon, along with an emergency veterinary visit, according to charging documents.

Haley’s attorney, Peter O’Neill, said she intends to plead not guilty and declined to comment further.

Club officials said in a Facebook post that its operations continue as normal.

“We want to reassure you that our organization operates with strong oversight, clear processes, and a commitment to accountability at all levels. The safety, well-being, and trust of our athletes and families remain our top priorities,” the club wrote.

A representative of the club, founded in 1958, could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

Haley has a court date scheduled for July 7.
