Montgomery County Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Rockville on Sunday that left two passengers dead.

The crash occurred around 3:09 a.m. near the intersection of Norbeck Road and East Gude Drive, police said Tuesday.

Abraham D. Huracaya Del Aguila, 24, of Silver Spring, who sat in the front passenger seat, and Alexander J. Medrano Cangalaya, 24, of Rockville, who sat in the back seat, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 2025 BMW M8 was traveling eastbound on Norbeck Road when the car crossed the center median and hit a curb and a pedestrian signal before overturning. The BMW then continued through the intersection, struck another curb and pedestrian signal and several trees before it stopped in a drainage trench, police said.

The driver survived and was hospitalized with injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening.

Montgomery County Police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
