Police are seeking the public’s help as they search for a Clarksburg woman charged with killing her mother. They are also looking for the woman’s girlfriend, who has also been charged with first-degree murder.
Vanessa Tjongarero-Henderson, 29, of Clarksburg and her girlfriend, Samantha Raebel, 36, of Phoenix, Arizona, are accused of killing 67-year-old Hilde Henderson of Silver Spring, Montgomery County Police said on Thursday.
Officers on May 26 were dispatched to the Charter House, a complex in downtown Silver Spring for people 55 and older, on a welfare check. They found Henderson dead.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined Henderson died in a homicide.
Police did not say why they identified Tjongarero-Henderson and Raebel as suspects. There are warrants for their arrest, police said.
This is the second time in weeks in which a Montgomery County resident is accused of killing their mother. Last month, a Burtonsville man was charged with fatally stabbing his mother. Authorities arrested the suspect in North Carolina. He is facing extradition to Montgomery County, where he is charged with first-degree murder.
