A Baltimore man has been charged with shooting at another car on Interstate 695 on Wednesday afternoon in a road rage incident, causing an hourlong road closure as commuters headed home, officials said.

Brandon Allison, 40, allegedly shot at a Honda Accord, Maryland State Police said, striking its driver-side rear window. The Honda driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was not injured, police said.

Police were called to the outer loop of I-695 near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway interchange around 2 p.m. Wednesday. The shooting led to the closure of all lanes along the I-695 outer loop past Exit 11A for about an hour, said Ashley Millner, a spokesperson for the Maryland State Police.

State and Anne Arundel County Police located Allison and his Chrysler Pacifica at a warehouse off Brandon Woods Boulevard in Pasadena, where they arrested him and seized a loaded .40-caliber handgun, according to a news release.

Allison faces attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and firearms charges, online court records show. He’s being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center, and he had no attorney listed in online court records.
