Montgomery County Police released a composite sketch Tuesday of a suspect who allegedly tried to kidnap a woman on July 4 in Rockville.

The suspect, who is also accused of carjacking and assaulting the woman, has been described as having a muscular build, police said in a statement. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt and shorts.

The attack occurred about 12:50 a.m. in the 400 block of Croydon Avenue when the suspect entered the woman’s vehicle.

She “was able to escape while the vehicle was in motion,” police said.

The suspect stole the woman’s car, which was later recovered in the 11400 block of Parkvale Road in Rockville.
