Police are searching for six people who surrounded and attacked a 74-year-old man outside of a 7-Eleven store in Liberty Square.

The assailants, who police described as β€œyounger males,” approached the victim outside of the convenience store on the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue on July 7 around 3:46 a.m., according to a post from the Baltimore Police Department.

The group is wanted for attempted armed robbery, police said.

In surveillance footage shared by police, the suspects are seen running up to the 74-year-old and quickly surrounding him.

One of the men pointed a gray assault-style rifle at the victim as he walked up to him, according to the footage. Another person in the group held a sword and swung it at the man.

The victim was backed into the front doors of the store. Then the group began to throw crates and objects at the 74-year-old, the video shows. They later pushed him to the ground and kicked and punched him multiple times.
