A 15-year-old student has been charged with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon related to an incident Thursday at Colonel Zadok Magruder High School in Rockville, Montgomery County Police said.
The campus was temporarily placed on “hold” — hallways cleared but activity in classrooms continuing — police said in social media posts.
They are investigating two separate incidents, one involving possession of a knife and the other a BB gun. Two students are now in custody.
Police did not immediately say whether more charges are forthcoming.
In 2022, an 18-year-old student from the high school was sentenced to 18 years in prison after shooting another student earlier that year.
