Kanisha Spence, 44, who was a security guard with Maximum Protective Services, is on trial this week on charges including first-degree murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Marquise Powell, who had made an early-morning visit to the Royal Farms on Washington Boulevard near Carroll Park on Oct. 30, 2022.
