Preakness date will not change despite previous push for new schedule

Racing suspended at Laurel Park through the weekend after two horses break down
The Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association called for racing to be suspended for the entirety of this upcoming weekend, and for future races to be moved to Pimlico Race Course starting April 27.
