Questionnaire
A: This past legislative session there were both discussions and actions taken to deal with the state budget and future budget forecasting. We need to increase government efficiency and streamline programs where necessary. Additional revenue can be gained through job growth, economic development and investment. I also support eliminating waste and finding redundant program spending. Streamlining costs is both important and useful. Strategies to improve these outcomes also include increasing the use of technology to help with budgetary cost savings.
A: Affordability for Maryland residents, protecting Maryland from federal overreach, and improving infrastructure.
A: This past legislative session we lowered childcare costs, provided energy costs relief, and increased consumer protection for Maryland. Investments in childcare, healthcare and education help improve economic conditions for all. We need to continue policies that can help lower the cost of living.
A: We need to continue our investment in the blueprint while managing through the cuts being made by the federal government. The blueprint has shown success in improving reading and educational outcomes. The investment in early childhood education will pay dividends in the future.
A: Frequently I hold meet-and-greet and community listening tours. Being easily accessible and gathering feedback is important to me. I am proud of our constituent service work where we help resolve issues on a daily basis. As an Eagle Scout, I am humbled to have an opportunity to serve others.
